Acer AO 751h freezing - Troubleshooting
Update BIOS to v.3210 or v.3211

Didn't fix the problem.

Disable Hardware Acceleration of the Graphics Card

I have no problems so far after disabling this feature.
However, crippling the performance of my netbook in order to stop the freezing does not seem a proper solution to me...

Update GMA500 drivers to v.2020

Didn't fix the problem

Try using a Fan Control app, in case the problem is temperature related

Didn't fix the problem.

Try changing RAM module

Change RAM module from DDR2-667 (333Mhz) to DDR2-533 (266Mhz)
Avoid DDR2-800 (400 MHz), since it causes freezing - try DDR2-553 (266 MHz)
Change RAM from 1GB PC2-6400 DDR2 SODIMM to 1GB PC2-5700 DDR2 SODIMM

Unfortunately I don't have the chance to try another SODIMM RAM module and they are still really expensive to buy just to try... €22 for 1GB, €40 for 2GB.

Change RAM module to CORSAIR SO-DIMM 2GB DDR2 667MHz (VS2GSD667D2)
SAMSUNG 1GB 2Rx16 PC2-5300S-555-12-A3 seemed to freeze the netbook.

Change IRQ priority

IRQ8 top priority
IRQ16 is second and IRQ17 is third.
Howto : Create DWord value (named ‘IRQ#Priority) in ‘HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\PriorityControl’
‘#’ is IRQA number. Ex) IRQ8Priority

Have the mobo replaced by ACER
Change Graphics settings

Try to change the following settings:
Under Options in Graphics - Enable Performance Mode is ticked
Under Power Settings - tick the Intel Display power Saving Technology, and drag the pointer to maximum quality
