FishMemory ("we," "our," or "us") is operated by Monaï Telecom. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the FishMemory service, including our WhatsApp bot, mobile application, and web application (collectively, the "Service").

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

  • Phone Number: Your WhatsApp phone number, used as your unique identifier and account credential.
  • Reminder Content: The text of reminders you create, including dates, times, descriptions, tags, and recurrence settings.
  • Messages: Messages you send to the FishMemory WhatsApp bot for processing your reminder requests.
  • Profile Information: Optional display name and timezone preferences you set in the mobile app.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Device Information: Device type, operating system version, and app version for push notification delivery.
  • Timezone Data: Your device timezone for accurate reminder scheduling.
  • Push Notification Token: An Expo push token for sending push notifications to your device.
  • Usage Data: Number of reminders created, feature usage statistics (aggregated and anonymized).

1.3 Google Calendar Data

If you choose to connect Google Calendar:

  • OAuth Tokens: Google OAuth 2.0 access and refresh tokens, encrypted with AES-256-GCM before storage.
  • Calendar Events: We read and write calendar events to sync your reminders. We do not access calendar events unrelated to FishMemory.
  • You can revoke Google Calendar access at any time from your Google Account settings or from the FishMemory mobile app.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To process your natural language messages and create reminders
  • To send you reminder notifications via WhatsApp and push notifications
  • To sync reminders with Google Calendar (if enabled)
  • To authenticate you via OTP (one-time password) sent to your WhatsApp
  • To provide customer support
  • To improve our natural language processing engine (using anonymized data only)
  • To manage your subscription status

3. Data Storage & Security

  • Database: Your data is stored in a SQLite database on our secure servers.
  • Encryption: Google Calendar OAuth tokens are encrypted using AES-256-GCM with secure key management.
  • Authentication: JWT (JSON Web Token) based authentication with OTP verification.
  • Transport: All data in transit is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS.
  • Access Control: Only authorized personnel have access to user data through the admin interface.

4. Data Retention

  • Active accounts: Your data is retained as long as your account is active.
  • Expired subscriptions: Data is retained for 30 days after subscription expiration to allow for easy renewal.
  • Account deletion: Upon request, your data is permanently deleted within 14 business days.
  • Completed reminders: One-time reminders that have fired are retained for your history but can be deleted by you at any time.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of all personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectification: Correct inaccurate personal data.
  • Deletion: Request permanent deletion of your account and all associated data.
  • Export: Request your reminder data in a portable format.
  • Revoke Consent: Disconnect Google Calendar or stop using the service at any time.

7. Children's Privacy

FishMemory is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8. International Data Transfers

FishMemory operates from Lebanon. By using our Service, you consent to the transfer and processing of your data in Lebanon. We take measures to ensure your data is treated securely regardless of location.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
