Data Deletion Instructions

FishMemory is operated by Monaï Telecom. You can request deletion of your FishMemory account and associated personal data at any time. This page explains how to submit a request and what happens next.
Option 1: Delete Your Account in FishMemory
The fastest way to delete your account is the self-service flow inside FishMemory:
- Open the web app at app.fishmemory.net.
- Log in with your WhatsApp phone number and OTP.
- Go to Settings.
- Scroll to Danger Zone and choose Delete Account.
- Confirm the deletion request.
This schedules permanent deletion after a 30-day grace period. During that period, you can return to Settings and cancel deletion. FishMemory support/admin is notified when deletion is scheduled or cancelled so the request is visible to our team.
Option 2: Request Help With Deletion
If you cannot access the app, send a deletion request using one of these methods:
- Email: Send a message to support@monaitelecom.com with the subject "FishMemory data deletion request".
- WhatsApp: Message FishMemory at +1 917 735 8850 and write "delete my account".
WhatsApp is only a way to contact FishMemory and verify the phone number linked to the account. WhatsApp and Meta do not delete your FishMemory account for you; after verification, FishMemory processes or helps schedule the deletion request.
Information to Include
- Your WhatsApp phone number, including country code.
- A clear statement that you want your FishMemory account and data deleted.
- If you are emailing from a different address, please confirm that you can receive a verification message on the WhatsApp number linked to the account.
Verification
For your protection, we may verify ownership of the account before deleting data. Verification may be done by WhatsApp message, one-time code, or another reasonable method tied to the phone number on the account.
Data We Delete
After verification, we delete or anonymize personal data associated with your FishMemory account, including:
- Your FishMemory user profile and WhatsApp phone number.
- Your reminders, reminder history, tags, and schedule settings.
- WhatsApp conversation history stored by FishMemory.
- Device notification tokens used for push notifications.
- Google Calendar OAuth tokens stored by FishMemory, if you connected Google Calendar.
- Support notes linked directly to your account.
Data We May Retain
Some limited records may be retained when required for legal, security, accounting, fraud-prevention, or dispute-resolution reasons. These records are kept only for as long as necessary and may include:
- Payment and invoice records required for bookkeeping.
- Security logs needed to investigate abuse or protect the service.
- Backup copies until they expire through normal backup rotation.
Timeline
- Self-service app deletion is scheduled immediately after confirmation and completes after the 30-day grace period unless you cancel it first.
- Manual deletion help requests are acknowledged as soon as reasonably possible. FishMemory support/admin reviews the request, verifies ownership, and helps schedule or process deletion.
- Verified manual deletion requests that cannot be completed through the self-service flow are completed within 14 business days, except for limited records we must retain for legal, accounting, security, fraud-prevention, or dispute-resolution reasons.
- Backup copies may take longer to disappear through scheduled backup rotation, but are not used to restore deleted accounts except when legally required.
Connected Services
If you connected Google Calendar, you can also revoke FishMemory access directly from your Google Account permissions page. Deleting your FishMemory account removes our stored Google tokens, but it does not delete events already created in your Google Calendar unless you delete those events separately.
